Unfortunately many floor drains become so plugged with dirt and sediment to the point that they must be replaced. This project requires opening the concrete floor, cutting the cast iron piping to remove the old floor drain, installing a new floor drain, then re-cementing the floor.

Many older homes in Minneapolis and St Paul still have a "meter pit" that contained the original water service valve and the main sewer clean out.
Kitchen Drain Replacement in Highland Park in St. Paul, MN
The old homes in St Paul, Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs will likely still have galvanized pipes for the fixture drains. This project shows the replacement of deteriorated piping for a kitchen drain. In most cases the drain piping is replaced from the cabinet area down into the basement.
